Ministry Focus

At Gateway Community Church, we don't have programs, we have ministries! Programs just fill time and space, while ministries change people. As God's people come together, they "spur one another on" by offering opportunities for spiritual growth through worship, discipleship, fellowship and outreach.

"And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another-and all the more as you see the Day [of Christ's return] approaching." Hebrews 10:24-25

Prayer Fellowships - Our Tuesday Prayer Fellowship meets weekly to pray for specific needs in the congregation, community and world, while Mom's in Touch meets every Sunday to pray for children, grandchildren, their schools and teachers. We also offer a bi-monthly mid-week intercessory prayer meeting, the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays. Our Focus on Missions prayer group meets the last Sunday of the month after the worship service.

Home Fellowships
This is how fellowship at Gateway Church gets personal. Meeting at least twice a month, these groups of 10-20 people gather for the express purpose of cultivating deep and caring relationships. The focus is upon relationship building. This is the distinctive that really makes Gateway Community Church a family, and each individual has the opportunity to make deep friendships, find consistent prayer support, and develop the kind of relationships that keep each of us accountable.

Outreach & Missions
We are committed to sharing Christ beyond our own "four walls" through community involvement and worldwide evangelism. The focus is upon SHARING CHRIST, for "there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12). No church has the right to exist if it does not feel a passion about making Christ known throughout the world. Overseas, our missionaries are our arms and legs. But in the greater Madison area the task is ours. We seek to gain a hearing for the gospel, the good news about salvation through faith in Christ, by sincerely caring for people through acts of love and kindness.

Pastoral Counseling
At Gateway Church we offer free counseling for hurting people. We offer discipleship counseling that is dependent upon applying principles from the Word of God, and which invites the personal direction of the Counselor, the Holy Spirit
